We live in an epoch where anyone can create new worlds and interconnect them.
I remember when “Login with Facebook” or “Login with Google” were launched. All websites implemented it because everyone was logged in to Google or Facebook and the experience was seamless. It took off and for a long period of time it was the norm. It still is.
The interconnection was implemented in the background; a non-interaction layer where only data was passed between platforms, for a limited number of functions.
Ideas are crafted into stories and then built into platforms. Projects are committed to build “The Metaverse”, users participate and invest, the space is transforming with every idea, story and platform. But the Metaverse can only exists while it cannot be claimed. If someone “owns” or “builds” the Metaverse, then that is not it.
A correct statement would be: “We build for the Metaverse”.
We are in the very early stage, a prototyping phase, where projects are launching first iterations.
In our vision, the foundation of The Metaverse needs at least 6 pillars:
At VampireWars.io we are creating a Metaspace, where users control Vampire Characters and Territory (Virtual Land). The action takes place in present day on an Earth-sized map that is synchronized with the real world in terms of human population, sunset & sunrise, weather, and major social and natural events. The action is real-time and all user interactions with the world are permanent.
Metaspaces in our vision are stand-alone projects that provide swapping, farming, staking, or lending protocols, and also game mechanics based on purely entertaining actions (play)or social interaction (meet, chat, interact etc.). In the Metaverse context, interconnected metaspaces must provide users an alternative to earn income and clearly define playgrounds where users interact and perform “work” streams that generate value. Some users might see value in “owning” scarce assets, or keeping their leaderboard position. Other users will see value in the opportunity to trade the assets and create revenue streams from their continuous interaction with the metaspace.
The first layer that we will deploy will be the “accumulation & distribution” layer where users will interact with the world’s map and their assets and kickstart the world’s economy. Vampires are awaken, they need to hunt and they are always in conflict.
Token emission will start and value will reside from a single concept: Ownership of territory for world domination.
Players will grow their characters and footprint, join Clans & Alliances, create massive territory control strategies and execute it to stay on top of the game.
A second layer will be deployed where the story evolves beyond the conflict between vampires and their race for territory control. New utility is brought to the land and more power is transferred to users.
In this second layer, one of the most important addition will be User Generated Content. The Metaspace will be expanded to accommodate roles for other on-chain assets (other NFT characters for example), the creation of new characters (users can launch their own NFT collections as characters in the game), Clans will be able to emit their own currency and create micro economies inside the vampire wars world.
First and second layer will provide users with an in-browser, 2D experience, a command center or control panel on top of the world’s map, where they can visualize and manage their characters and territory for optimal token distribution.
With the 2 layers as framework, we aim to provide:
1. A real-time gameplay experience with Virtual Land ownership at it’s core
2. On-chain virtual identity — seamless account registration and authentication & true asset ownership
3. Earth-sized playground, synced with real world.
4. A place where users can create their own characters and content and where existing projects can integrate
5. A fully scalable economy that is centered on a token with 5 year emission schedule
6. Out of the box in-browser technology
The economical layers are meant to create engagement and force players to think and work together. We expect to see large groups of players organizing independently to discuss strategies, research where to claim territory, discuss about how to organize the hunts so they all maximize their rewards, create their own concepts and ideas about their clans and alliances even before the platform is launched. We will see leaders raising and micro communities forming.
We expect users to spend time researching and planning, and then, the actual play will consist in deploying the strategy (claim territory in the desired location, deploy vampires in hunting and combat rounds, claim hunting rewards after the hunt is over).
Players can grow their vampires and influence by using their in-game rewards to craft items, artifacts and modify the properties of owned territory.
3Third layer will bring a new user interaction model: Active PvP. Crypto enthusiasts love to spend time and manage assets. The active gaming layer is not for all of them. On the other side, Vampire Wars story allows us to expand and create a game agnostic of blockchain and digital assets management. This layer is for gamers. It is linked with the economy layers above, but seamless in terms of wallet configuration, blockchain integration, swapping and trading items on marketplaces and everything crypto peeps love to do to flip and earn.
We build for fun. We’re geeks. #GetReady
